Deborah Depew, DO
Family Medicine
Dr. Depew graduated from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA in Dec 1980, and spent seven weeks traveling solo around Australia and New Zealand. She graduated from UNECOM in Maine in 1985, went to Paris and Italy, and then completed a Family Practice residency at Normandy Osteopathic Hospital (now St. Luke’s Des Peres Hospital) in 1987.
After three years in private practice, she moved with her new husband to Sullivan, MO where she subsequently practiced in an underserved rural health clinic for five years.
In 1996, she began practicing at Primary Care of Cedar Hill. That same year, she was appointed by Governor Mel Carnahan to the State Board of Registration of the Healing Arts, where she served as Licensure Chairman and subsequently Disciplinary Chairman, liaison to the Collaborative Practice Committee, and representative to the Physicians’ Assistance Committee. She completed her service in 2003, in time for her husband to retire, and to resume their travels around the world, previously precluded by all those meetings!
She is still intrigued by the practice of family medicine, and cannot imagine doing anything more fulfilling. Her other interests are theatre, opera, ballet, good food and nice wine, and spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved dogs.
